Before You Approve
When Your Move Needs Extra Planning
Most moves do not need these adjustments. When a move involves unusual access, additional work or especially heavy items, we review it with you before approval and include it in your confirmed price. Nothing is unexpectedly added on move day.
Stairs and Building Access
Most standard stair access is already considered in your move. Additional flights may require more carrying time and physical effort, so we review them as part of your quote.
Already includedThe first flight at each address, and normal reserved elevator access

Transportation
Full-service transportation is charged at $3 per routed mile from your first pickup address to your final drop-off address. Fuel is included in that rate — there is no separate fuel or gas charge. Labor-only bookings have no mileage charge at all, because you provide the truck.

Other Situations
These come up rarely. Weekends are never a surcharge, and having an elevator is never a surcharge on its own — they are listed so the complete price list is public.

You Bring the Truck
Labor-Only Moving Help
$150 per hour for two workers
Labor-only pricing is based on actual billable time. You provide the moving truck, rental truck, container, or other transportation.
What you can use it for
Loading a rental truck
Unloading a rental truck
Loading or unloading a moving container
Storage-unit loading or unloading
In-home furniture moving
Furniture placement
Example labor totals
2 hours$300
3 hours$450
4 hours$600
These are examples, not a quote. The final total depends on the actual time worked, access conditions, inventory, and any approved additional services.
Billable time begins when both workers arrive at the first scheduled service address and are ready to begin, and ends when the approved work is completed. When loading and unloading happen at different addresses, travel time between your locations counts as billable labor time. Final labor cost is based on the actual time worked and confirmed after completion.
Labor-only does not include a moving truck, truck rental, transportation of your belongings, fuel, or a mileage charge.
This applies only to labor-only bookings. You rent the truck or container and we supply the crew. If you would rather not deal with a rental at all, a full-service package already includes our truck.
If you are renting your own truck, what size do you need?
Move SizeRecommended Truck
Studio (any size)Cargo Van or 10 ft

4–5 Bedrooms26 ft truck
Not sure? Text us — we’ll help you pick the right size.
The truck must be rented under YOUR name — or someone you bring with a valid driver’s license. It can be you, a friend, or a family member. You don’t need to drive — we do all the driving. We get added as the second driver.
No license?
Bring someone with a valid license. They reserve and sign for the truck in their name; we can be added as a driver and do the moving labor.
Can’t book online?
We can reserve the truck for you online. You or someone you bring will show ID at pickup, and we’ll be added as the driver.
No license + no one to bring?
Call or text us before you book. Every rental company sets its own ID rules, and we’ll tell you honestly whether your move can work — and what your options are if it can’t.
I’ll Arrange My Own Truck
Rent from U-Haul, Penske, or any provider. We show up and do all the loading and unloading. Most cost-effective option.
If you are already renting a truck or container, labor-only lets you pay for the lifting alone at $150 per hour for two workers. If you would rather we bring the truck and drive it, full-service is the flat-rate option above.
01
Truck included when you need it — or bring your own
Traditional movers bundle the truck cost into your bill without ever showing it. That’s where most of the markup hides. We publish both options instead: full-service covers the crew, the truck, the equipment, loading, transportation and unloading, with travel priced openly per routed mile — or, if you already have a truck or container, labor-only lets you pay for the lifting alone, by the hour.
02
Flat rate or hourly — you know the price before we arrive
On a full-service package your price is fixed by move size, not the clock — no incentive to drag it out. On labor-only you are billed for the time actually worked, at the hourly rate published above. Either way, any price change is explained and approved before extra work is performed.
03
Local West Orange team — no franchise overhead
Big-name movers pass franchise royalties and corporate overhead to you in every invoice. We’re a local crew — your money goes directly to the people carrying your furniture.
